Rob went to Saturday nites rh show and made a halfhearted attempt to get into Sundays but was obscenely tired from newspaper work so he split at 10 pm...

Saturday after the show while waiting for the bus back to Denver (the last one of the nite - of course) I mentioned that the guide had been ranked #1 under hitchiking by the Excite search engine to a girl in the bus shelter w/me when some 'peace-loving Boulderite' started in ranting about how 'Native Americans' don't believe in technology' & then I said hey waitaminute 1/2 MY family is Cherokee & *I* LIKE technology - long story short I got jumped & my hand STILL hurts from where I got one clear shot in - the cops came & could have hauled BOTH of us in but they didn't - downside my bus came while they were interviewing us - so I got stuck in Boulder overnite.

Odd coincidence dept: I bought some postcards for the Spacecub at the store across the st. from the Fox Theatre (which gets points for serving DRINKABLE beer in GLASS glasses at reasonable prices but loses points for serving mr.pibb in the burrito shop in the front lobby...(and of course the cardinal sin of beans in the chili...)

Irony dept: my ticketstub - (miracle courtesy of 'Woody' who never went to Denver County and has lived in CO since the day he was born) - had a coupon for the Trail Dust Steakhouse (boy talk about bad add targeting): that no necktie joint found in Denver metro area, and Dallas & Denton County, TX.

As soon as I leave this terminal I'm gonna catch the B or the AB bus to either downtown Denver or the old airport & transfer to a # 88 which will put me pretty far out in the metro area on I-76 & hitch from there - I made enough $ selling papers to buy a CB radio but I don't think I'll need it for this trip so I'm just gonna keep it for emergencies...(I MIGHT make it to Chi in time for Tuesday's Hunter show & I'm sure I'll make it in time for Wednesdays...

Oh yeah, rob found a 70mm movie screen in the Denver metro area .

Not much time here - didn't get to go to the show & House of Blues was skeevy security - wise but I found a good hitchin' place on I-80 - the Lincoln 'Oasis' d.p. available no less!
Take Dan Ryan 'el' to 95th & state, catch the #353 Pace bus jump the fence and yer there - about 2 hrs out - picked up by the owner of the Markle, in ISP and using their equipment to fire off this message - have read some dnc posts but am unable to respond due to dnc odddities today.
Off to D.C. if I can make it...
Did you guys know Dan Quayle's around here somewhere...????
