CLEVELAND

rob just learned that cleveland has a cool new 10-story library with 20 net terminals and like zero usage restrictions + (the furniture is GORGEOUS!)

new cleveland library= 2 blocks from tower city subway stop (near jacobs field= where the rangers should be WHOMPING the tribe in a doubleheader right about now)

and odeon concert club= in 'flats district' near 'waterfront streetcar line...'

will send more detailed missive tomorrow when i have more time...

along with a 'review' of the pittsburgh 'regatta'

OHIO - INDY - CHICAGO

quick note: after leaving the COLUMBUS library (near broad & i-71) ate at the WORLD'S FIRST WENDY's on braod st- then walked down to BROAD & HIGH and caught the ONLY bus all day to hilliard- rome & i70 (in order to be in a good spot to hitch from columbus), (it worked- i got to EXIT 10, 70 miles west near indiana)
(btw if you do get stuck on this exit all is not lost it has a dollar theater nearby..)

17 hrs later i got a ride to indy and then learned just how bad the INDIANAPOLIS BUS SYSTEM is + i almost got HIT BY A BUS on lafayette rd
the guy that gave me a ride said he knew (past tense) 4 people that have
got tagged by indy buses on the way to garage there...
CAREFUL around lafayett rd kids...
i came THIS CLOSE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO WRITE THIS....
(interstates have SHOULDERS- most surface streets in INDY DON'T- nor sidewalks)..
rob also learned what a challenge it is to get into CHICAGO during midday hours on pace from the south west side...
botom line: don't go past midway airport if you want access to mass transit along i-55
the south EAST side however (calumet city- tinley park etc has fairly frequent service)
anyhoo rob's off to see FISH at park west. Dunno where it is yet but i DO know it's in the cta system..
