This is kinda important: generally everybody west of Fredericton speaks french, and even if they speak english they won't admit it (even the cops).
So if you only speak english, should you encounter a cop in this area he'll
probably just throw up his hands in disgust and drive off leaving you free to
catch a ride...
Personally I can READ french so road signs aren't a major problem - but I can't
understand it very well when spoken and I speak it TERRIBLY.
My advice - if you know your french is limited - carry a ballpoint pen and ask them to write down their destination.
I don't think the trans-can in N.B IS a freeway at anypoint so you can walk
along the highway...
There is a good inexpensive A&W restaurant inside the FREDERICTON shopping mall.
A fellow named CHRIS OHLAND regularly drives around the area doing random acts of kindness, so if you see him tell him I said (hi!).
EVERYBODY IN THE MARITimES knows Chris it seems...
Somthin' to do with a brewery in Nova Scotia...
I've saw more than one persons graffiti on a lightpole in Moncton noting that
some chick came by there, picked 'em up and then F***ed their brains out...
(dated 1977,78,79,80,81,91,92,93 and so on) so there's the possibillity that you might get picked up by th'Moncton Nymphomaniac' (don't forget the condom...)
USA sneak-in-spot (I-95 HOULTON, MAINE) short walk to transcanada hiway...
avg crossing time 4-6 hrs
coolness: 100+10 for coolcops +10 for Chris
